Provision of Funds from the Budget of the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure (2022 – 2031)

PROJECT: Implementation of the pan-European U-space concept into the airspace of the Czech Republic.

The goal of the project, in accordance with Act No. 104/2000 Coll. on the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure, § 2, paragraph 1, letter e), and § 3, is to ensure the implementation of the pan European U-space concept into the airspace of the Czech Republic.

The project has the following sub-goals:

• To design the structure of management and coordination of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in the Czech Republic, including definitions of all inputs, stakeholders, and their roles in the U space system in the Czech Republic, ensuring the quality and safety of operations and setting the basic structure of data flows for information exchange between USSP and CIS, i.e., dynamic information on airspace and operations.
• To propose a method for integrating UAS into Very Low Level (VLL) airspace, conceptual solutions for the future structure of class G airspace for the Czech Republic, solutions for CTRs, and solutions for ATZs.
• To create rules for the anticipated categories of airspace for UAS based on safety assessments, acceptance by authorities, and environmental aspects.
• • To propose the method and organization for the provision of information on UAS operations in controlled airspace for air traffic control service positions.

The action is funded by the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure.

is co-funded with the support of the Ministry of the Interior within the OPSEC programme.

The aim is to assess and improve the resilience of the Czech aviation infrastructure against GNSS signal spoofing.

TRANSPORT 2030 – Second Call

Programme of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic

PROJECT: Digital airport model for increasing safety and efficiency of air traffic
is funded with the support of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic within the TRANSPORT 2030 programme.

The aim of the project is to create a system for the improvement of air traffic effectiveness and safety at the airport movement area.

PROJECT: Advanced operation of drones in protective zones of critical infrastructure in the conditions of emerging U-space
is funded with the support of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic within the TRANSPORT 2030 programme.

The goal of the project is to enable the advanced operation of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in places with a higher risk of operation, when breaching protective zones, so that a verifiable operational experience can be created, demonstrating the achievement of an acceptable level of safety.

PROJECT: Versatile Early Recognition System for Air Traffic Criticalities
is funded with the support of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic within the TRANSPORT 2030 programme.

The project aims to enhance aviation safety through the early detection of fatigue and drowsiness among air traffic controllers.

TRANSPORT 2030 – First Call

PROJECT: Czech U-space Pilot Project (CUP 2)
is funded with the support of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and Ministry of Transport of Czech Republic within the TRANSPORT 2030 programme. This project is funded under the National Recovery Plan from the European Recovery and Resilience Facility.

The goal of this project is to ensure the safety of U-space airspace deployment in the Czechia by establishing operational procedures, technical parameters, and by gaining hands-on experience through the basic implementation of U-space services.

TRANSPORT 2020+

Programme of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic

PROJECT: Design of U-space implementation for the Czech Republic (FUTURE)
was funded with the support of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic within the TRANSPORT 2020+ programme.

The aim of the project was to support the implementation of the U-Space in the Czech Republic by proposing the ways of introducing new services and procedures related to the integration of UAS into common airspace.

PROJECT: SA system to support the safe commercial operation of unmanned aerial vehicles in shared airspace of the Czech Republic (SORA)
was funded with the support of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic within the TRANSPORT 2020+ programme.

The project aims to research and develop new tools, processes and software systems to support the integration and safe commercial operation of UAV in shared airspace.
