The procedure for a drone flight coordination with the airport operator and the ATC
If the rules for your flight require the so-called coordination, it is necessary to send no later than 3 working days before the planned flight:
1. For Prague, Brno, Ostrava and Karlovy Vary airports:
An application for a so-called non-standard flight (NSF) to the ATC (Air Traffic Control) address according to the table below and also further
2. For all controlled airports:
An application for your flight assessment by the airport operator to the email address or via or via the electronic form listed in the table below. The content is the same as for the application in point 1.
The applications must include the following:
- The purpose of the flight;
- The area of the activity or required flight trajectories – a map drawing and the list of coordinates describing the required area;
- The estimated activity duration;
- The required flight height;
- The type of the unmanned aircraft;
- The take-off and landing locations;
- The planned day of operation, planned take-off time, flight duration and the required coordination validity period.

Some of these additional conditions may be expected to be imposed as part of the NSF permit:
- An obligation to request a flight clearance from the airport control tower - by phone before the flight, or
- Maintaining a permanent two-way communication with the ATC unit, or
- Equipping the drone with a secondary radar transponder.
